Bentworth rallies past Waynesburg Central
Bentworth rallied from a one-run deficit to defeat Waynesburg Central, 5-4, Friday night in Section 2-AA softball action.
The Lady Bearcats (2-1, 2-1) used the long ball to score three runs. McKenzie Marchitel hit a two-run home run in the second and Jamie Schrock added a solo shot in the fourth.
The Lady Raiders’ Taylor Staley had two doubles.
Casey Hite picked up the win from the circle after striking out four and walking one. Jordan Moore suffered the loss. She had two strikeouts and one walk.
Waynesburg Central (1-3, 1-4) hosts Fort Cherry this afternoon in section play.
