Sonneborn sets PR

Tulane University freshman and West Greene graduate Mikayla Sonneborn broke five minutes in the 1,500 meters for the first time in her brief collegiate career at the Southeastern Louisiana Lion Invitational Friday night.

Sonneborn finished first in a personal-best 4:51.86.

Kalsey wins meet

Westminster College freshman and Waynesburg Central graduate Marissa Kalsey cleared 3.50 meters (11-5¾ feet) Friday to win the pole vault.

Kalsey’s victory came at the PAC North Quad Meet hosted by Geneva College.
