Trent Bauer lead the way for the Falcons as his 20 points and 10 rebounds topped Ringgold in non-section play, 58-39.

Connellsville (1-5, 5-11) also had a strong game from Jim Leichliter, who netter 15 points, and Jade Maher who added in 12 points of his own.

Ringgold’s (1-6, 2-13) Niko Law was the lone bright spot for the Rams, who registered 10 points.

In other local action, Derry Area downed Geibel Catholic, 63-49, in non-section play.

The California University of Pennsylvania swimming team won a combined 12 events (10 individual, two relay) and captured a pair of dual meet victories over Lake Erie and West Virginia Wesleyan.

The Vulcans earned an 85-37 victory against Lake Erie and a 98-12 win over West Virginia Wesleyan.

Senior Megan Schuh won a combined three events (one individual, two relay). She won the 100 backstroke after touching the wall in 1 minute, 2.73 seconds. Schuh also captured the victory in the 200 IM with a time of 2:18.79.

In the 200 medley relay, Schuh, sophomore Brittany Reamer, senior Bruna Carvalho and junior Clarissa Enslin won the event by nearly five seconds with a time of 1:52.75.

Reamer and Carvalho also won individual events on Saturday. Reamer claimed the win the in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.41 and Carvalho earned the victory in the 200 butterfly after touching the wall in 2:14.51.

Enslin earned the win in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:57.10 and sophomore Monica Henn qualified for the PSAC Championships in the event after recording a time of 2:01.93.

Henn was also a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay. Sophomore Melissa Sokol, Reamer, Henn and junior Brianna Sieck combined for a time of 1:47.28 to win the event by over one full second.

Sokol reached the league-qualifying standard in the 50 freestyle, placing second with a time of 25.54.
