By The 1 min read

Waynesburg native Robert Rohanna headlines a handful of local hopefuls in the 109th PNC West Penn Open Championship at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Mystic Rock course, on Monday and Tuesday.

Rohanna was seventh in the Open championship last year at Fox Chapel Golf Club, and won the 2010 Pennsylvania Open.

Brian Dunaway, a Geibel Catholic graduate and club professional at Willowbrook Country Club, qualified Monday at the Wildwood Golf Club with a 5-over 76.

Also advancing from the Wildwood qualifier were Belle Vernon’s Bo Lustig (8-over 79), and Pikewood National Golf Club PGA professional Christopher McGinnis (8-over 79), of Waynesburg.

Brian Rogish, Director of Instruction at Nemacolin Woodlands Golf Academy, Mount Pleasant’s Dan Konieczny Sr., and Joseph Paul Reed III, of Clarksburg, are also in the 78-man field.
