Southmoreland tennis finished undefeated with 4-1 victory over Brownsville

Southmoreland tennis capped off a perfect 12-0 season as the Scotties defeated Section 1-AA foe Brownsville, 4-1, Wednesday afternoon.

In singles action, Southmoreland’s Tyler Fox defeated Ryan Hartz, 6-4, 6-1, Luke Zeleznik dropped Nic Calvaresi, 6-1, 6-1, and Brownsville’s Jake Koltiska picked up the Falcons’ only victory with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Issac Porch.

In doubles play it was all Scotties with Adam Sernley and Adam Snyder defeated Brad Britvich and Nick Gardner, 6-1, 6-1, while Davis Simon and Henry Riley clipped Derek Lent and Zane McShane, 6-1, 6-2.

Southmoreland will head into the playoffs as the top seed, while Brownsville fell one match short of qualifying for the playoffs.
