Irvin selected to Knoxville Hall of Fame
Uniontown native Ed Irvin has been selected for induction into the Greater Knoxville (Tenn.) Sports Hall of Fame.
Irvin was a very successful girls volleyball coach in Tennessee for 28 years. He compiled a record of 723-327, including the 1991 state championship at South-Doyle.
Over the years, Irvin coached volleyball at four schools and was named district coach of the year eight times.
Irvin is part of a 10-member Hall of Fame class that will be inducted on July 11.
