Lady Bulldogs rout Mapletown, 14-4
Beth-Center scored in all but the first inning Thursday afternoon, cruising to a 14-4 non-section win in six innings over visiting Mapletown.
After a scoreless first inning, Beth-Center (5-9) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second. The Lady Maples (1-17) scored three in the top of the third, but the Lady Bulldogs countered with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Beth-Center scored three runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings, and invoked the 10-run rule with two outs in the sixth inning after scoring four runs.
Abby Gustovich scattered four hits in the win, striking out seven and walking seven. She also had a double, single and two RBI.
Tori Kuntz went 3-for-5, including a double, and three RBI. Haley Kriebel had a pair of doubles and three RBI. Miranda Andrews added a triple, two singles and three RBI. Ally Trippy also had a double.
Jordan Adams had a pair of doubles for Mapletown.
