Connellsville comes up short against Warriors, loses 21-15
Connellsville scored in the fourth quarter, but Penn-Trafford managed to hold on Friday night for a 21-15 Foothills Conference home victory.
Jimmy DeMarco’s 10-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter from Jade Maher drew the Falcons to within a touchdown after the point after failed.
The two teams matched touchdowns in the first quarter. Penn-Trafford struck first on Brett Laffoon’s 19-yard scoring pass to Josh McElrone. Connellsville tied the game on Maher’s first touchdown pass of the game, a 13-yard effort to Darrell Rose.
Tom Stinelli’s 10-yard touchdown run was the lone score of the second quarter, giving the home team a 14-7 halftime lead.
Connellsville scored a safety in the third quarter, but the Warriors responded with Laffoon’s second touchdown pass.
