Lady Mikes outlast Waynesburg Central, 3-2

The Carmichaels volleyball team lost the first two sets to Waynesburg Central, but the Lady Mikes rallied Monday night for a 3-2 road non-section victory.

The Lady Raiders opened strong with set wins of 31-29 and 26-24. Carmichaels fought back to tie the match in the middle sets, 25-12, 25-20, and capped the rally by winning the final set, 15-12.

Emma Lewis, Wendy Scott and Hanna Cutwright all finished with nine kills for the Lady Mikes (11-4). Scott had 19 service points, while Cutwright finished with 16. Abby Cutwright led with 21 service points.
