Lady Roaring Lions win two on second day

After dropping both matches on the first day of the Rochester (Mich.) Tournament, the Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus women’s volleyball team rallied to win two of three matches Saturday.

The Lady Roaring Lions defeated Kokomo 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-10) and host Rochester 3-2 (17-25, 25-19, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13), and lost to Robert Morris-Springfield 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-14).

Penn State Fayette lost in straight sets to both Lindenwood-Bellevue and Mary Grove on Friday.

Emily Konter led the offense in the five matches with 150 assists. Caitlyn Williams had a strong tournament on defense with 65 digs, while Samantha Helmantoler was a force at the net with 55 kills.
