Strong second half lifts Kiski to 5-1 win at Connellsville

Ashton Grimm scored the game-opening goal Monday night, but it was all Kiski Area after that with the visiting Lady Cavaliers defeating Connellsville, 5-1, Monday night in Section 1-AAA action.

Grimm scored off a Caitlin Fess assist at 31:27 of the first half, but Nicole Cadwell tied it two minutes later and Allie Lohr scored the eventual game-winning goal at 15:33.

Stacey Sikora, Jamie Frank and Britney Dalla, on a penalty kick, scored in the second half.

Connellsville goalie Marian Chearney made 11 saves. The Lady Cavaliers’ Alexis Tracula turned aside eight shots.

Connellsville (0-6, 4-6) starts the second half of the schedule Wednesday when it hosts Hempfield.
