Waynesburg Central scored three runs in the top of the first inning on its way to a 5-3 Section 3-AAA win against Trinity Friday in a game played at CONSOL Energy Park.

Aaron Hill’s triple brought home the first two runs in the first inning, and John Coss’ double later in the inning plated the third.

The Raiders added single runs in the top of the fourth and fifth innings.

Trinity scored single runs in the second, fourth and sixth innings.

Hill (2-0) went the distance, striking out seven and walking two. He also had a double to finish with two of the Raiders’ five hits.

Waynesburg improves to 2-2 in the section and 4-4 overall.
