Beth-Center defeats Bentworth 6-5
Beth-Center 6, Bentworth 5 – The Bulldogs scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday for a 6-5 Section 2-AA victory over the visiting Bulldogs.
Beth-Center (2-4, 3-7) tied the game with a single run in the bottom of the sixth.
The Bearcats (3-5, 7-7) opened up a 4-0 lead in the first two innings and added the fifth run in the top of the fourth.
Beth-Center chipped away at the deficit with two runs in both the third and sixth innings.
Seth Hvizda had the lone extra-base hit for Beth-Center with a double. Dexter Keys earned the win.
Jake Rothke, Matt Vicklers and Kirk Stechley all had doubles for the Bearcats (3-5, 7-7).
