Laurel Highlands 6, Derry 1 — The Fillies scored all the runs they needed in the bottom of the first inning Tuesday afternoon, and Alexa Peton made the lead stand for a Section 4-AAA home victory.

The Filles (2-7, 2-8) added two runs in the third and one more in the fourth.

Peton allowed one run on four hits, striking out four and walking four.

Josie Campbell had a double and two singles in the win. Peton added a double, and Jordan Saghy legged out a triple.

Derry slides to 1-7 in the section and 1-8 overall.
