Lady Greyhounds upend West Greene, 5-2

Monessen 5, West Greene 2 — The Lady Greyhounds scored the deciding three runs in the top of the fifth inning Tuesday for a Section 2-A road victory over the Lady Pioneers.

Monessen (3-6, 5-7) scored single runs in the first and third innings. West Greene (5-3, 6-6) scored all of its runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Marissa Rode tripled for the Lady Pioneers. Bailey Bennington struck out 13 to bring her career total over 300 career strikeouts. She walked four and scattered three hits.
