Jefferson-Morgan 16, Mapletown — The Lady Rockets pounded out 16 hits, while winning pitcher Maddie Ludrosky allowed just one single Wednesday afternoon for a Section 2-A road victory.

Jefferson-Morgan remains in the thick of the playoff hunt with the win, improving to 9-2 in the section and 11-2 overall. Mapletown slides to 2-9 in the section and 2-11 overall.

Ludrosky struck out three and walked none.

The Lady Rockets’ Maddie Dupont went 3-for-3, including a double. Nikki Venick, Morgan Simkovic and Kirsten Stoneking also had doubles. Camryn Dugan legged out a triple.

Abby McIntire had the lone hit for Mapletown with a single in the second inning. Lauren Adams struck out three and walked just one.
