Serra Catholic 17, West Greene 1 — The visiting Lady Eagles capped their Section 2-A victory with a 7-run seventh inning Wednesday afternoon to remain in the playoff hunt.

Serra (6-4, 7-4) led 1-0, 4-0, 7-0, 9-0 and 10-1 before the late outburst.

Whitney Larko scattered five hits, struck out 10 and walked two in the victory. She also had a pair of doubles. Amy McNeill went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Gia Husnick was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI. Allie Taylor added a double and two RBI.

Bailey Bennington took the loss with six strikeouts and three walks in four innings. She also had a double.

West Greene (5-4, 6-7) will try to get back on the winning track Friday with another key section game at Frazier.
