Beth-Center baseball falls to Chartiers-Houston

Chartiers-Houston 6, Beth-Center 4 — Beth-Center made a game of it with four runs in the top of the fourth inning, but couldn’t get any closer in a 6-4 loss at Chartiers-Houston Thursday.

The Section 2-AA loss left Beth-Center at 3-10 overall, 2-7 in section games, while Chartiers-Houston continues to cruise along at 9-1, 7-1. The same teams play at Beth-Center at 6:30 p.m. today.

The Buccaneers scored single runs int he first and second before posting four in the third and holding off the Bulldogs.

Ryan Mele was the winning pitcher, while BC’s Lane Ziker took the loss.

Matt Riggle tripled for the Bulldogs. Miles Williamson and Tyler Day homered for Chartiers-Houston and Kodie Hanley added a double.
