Slagus, Rathway lead Lady Leps

Kaitlyn Slagus poured in 35 points and Brea Rathway added 15, as Belle Vernon beat Greensburg Salem, 62-40, in non-section girls basketball Monday night.

Claire Oberdorf scored 35 of her team’s 40 points against BVA.

The Lady Leps improved to 2-1 and host Ringgold in the Section 4-AAA opener Thursday night. Greensburg Salem fell to 1-2 and hosts Laurel Highlands in the Section 3-AAA opener also Thursday.
