Uniontown boys pick up first win in the pool

The Uniontown boys swim team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday evening at Greensburg Salem, while the girls came up shy to the Golden Lions.

The Red Raiders defeated Greensburg Salem, 67-43, and the Lady Lions downed Uniontown, 100-69.

Connor Tibbe, Chase Bowen, Braden Carei and Jonathan Sharp won the 200 medley relay in 2:06.60. Carei (200 freestyle, 2:26.25), Sharp (200 IM, 2:18.10; 100 freestyle, 53.88), and Bowen (500 freestyle, 5:33.89) also had individual first-place finishers.

Elizabeth Klingensmith touched the wall first for the Lady Raiders in the 200 freestyle (3:01.62) and 100 butterfly (1:04.29). Rachel Van Nosdeln won the 200 IM (2:39.11) and 500 freestyle (6:10.29), while Rylee Levander took first in the 100 freestyle (1:02.59). Alexandra Meadows won the 100 backstroke (1:12.55). Levander, Meadows, Van Nosdeln and Klingensmith teamed up to take first in the 400 freestyle relay (4:15.32).
