Janesville shuts out Ice Miners, 3-0
Matt Jurisik turned aside 22 shots and Zach Lavalle scored a late goal in the first period Friday night as the Janesville Jets defeated visiting Keystone, 3-0.
Janesville remains in first place with 41 points (20-8-1), while Keystone slips into a tie for fourth place with 27 points (12-12-3).
Lavalle scored at 19:44 of the first period for the Jets.
After a scoreless second period, Adam Winborg found the net at 5:21 to spot Janesville to a 2-0 advantage. Mitch Fossier added an insurance goal three minutes later.
Alex Blankenburg faced 29 shots with 26 saves.
The two teams meet again today.
