Steel Valley tops Leopards in section opener

Steel Valley had three players top the 15-point mark in beating visiting Belle Vernon, 72-51, in a Section 4-AAA boys basketball game on Tuesday night.

Dom Keyes scored 19 points, Dylan Smith had 18 and Brandon Donovan added 15 for the Ironmen (3-2, 1-0).

Phil Baldini led the Leopards (0-3, 0-1) with 13 points and Tommy Rodriguez chipped in with 12.

Steel Valley led 16-11, 34-27 and 53-35 at the breaks.
