The Lady Trojans moved to within one victory of clinching at least a share of their first section crown Saturday, as California handled visiting West Greene, 54-31, in Section 3-A action.

California (15-3) remains undefeated in the section at 8-0, and can clinch at least a share of a section crown for the first time since 1982 with a win Monday against visiting Mapletown. The Lady Trojans close the section schedule on the road Thursday at Avella.

West Greene (4-4, 10-7) has a berth clinched, but can avoid a tie with a win over either Avella or Jefferson-Morgan.

California led 18-13, 28-19 and 40-24 at the quarter breaks.

Jenna Miller scored 16 for the Lady Trojans. Kylie Huffman scored nine points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had five blocks, while Kat Pancratz also finished with nine points.

Madison Raber scored a game-high 19 points for the Lady Pioneers.
