The Section 4-AAA finale between Waynesburg Central and McGuffey was fought right to the end of the game Friday with the Raiders prevailing, 62-61.

Waynesburg (2-10, 6-15) led 12-10 after the first quarter, and 26-20 at halftime. The Highlanders (0-12, 2-20) rallied in the third quarter, taking a 40-39 lead, but the Raiders secured the victory with a 23-21 advantage in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders’ Aaron Hill led all scorers with 29 points. Dominick Sarra added 22.

Zach Maxwell was the top scorer for McGuffey with 27 points. Damian McCloskey added 22.
