Laurel Highlands 4, Yough 3 — The Mustangs needed a late run Friday afternoon to remain undefeated in Section 2-AAA play with a victory at Yough.

Peroni entered the seventh with runners at first and second and no outs. His defense came through by throwing out the tying run at the plate to earn his first save of the season.

Laurel Highlands (11-0, 13-3) scored three runs in the top of the second on Uhazie’s sacrifice fly, Drew DeBerry’s run-scoring double and a wild pitch.

The Mustangs travel to Bailey Park Monday afternoon to play Uniontown.
