Warriors too much for Albert Gallatin
Penn-Trafford 11, Albert Gallatin 5 — The Warriors secured a Section 2-AAAA road victory Friday morning despite home runs by the Colonials’ Robbie Shea, Chaz Phillips and Trevor Moser.
Penn-Trafford (7-3, 13-3) led 4-0 through two innings and 6-2 after four innings before the Warriors’ Scott Koscho put the game out of reach with a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning. The Warriors added another runin the inning for a 11-2 lead.
Albert Gallatin (0-8, 2-12) scored a run in the bottom of the inning and closed the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the seventh.
The Warriors’ Luke Smelt had a home run and double, and Tyler Smith also belted a home run. Shane Mallon and Mark Merlino added a double.
The Colonials’ Caleb Dempsey had a pair of singles. Nate Torbich started and went five innings in the loss.
