Rohanna one shot behind Mazatlan leader
Waynesburg’s Robert Rohanna fired a 3-under 69 in the third round of the Mazatlan Open and heads into today’s final round tied for second place.
Playing on the LatinoAmerica Tour, Rohanna grabbed three birdies and didn’t suffer a bogie in the third round.
He has a 12:50 p.m. tee time for today’s final round. Rohanna’s three-round total is 7-under 209. His playing partner today is Mexico’s Estanislao Guerrero, who shot 70 Saturday and is 6-under for the tournament.
Rohanna trails fellow American Tyler McCumber, who fired a 6-under 66 on Saturday and is 8-under for the tournament. McCumber’s partner Sunday is another American, James Vargas, who also shot a 66 Saturday and is tied with Rohanna at 7-under 209.
Rohanna parred the front nine and had birdies on Nos. 10, 11 and 14 for his 3-under Saturday.
