Scotties’ playoff hopes fading with 41-7 loss

Southmoreland’s Interstate Conference playoff hopes took a hit Friday night with a 41-7 loss at Washington.

Southmoreland is 4-3 in the conference and 4-4 overall, and closes the season against rival Mount Pleasant. Washington remains undefeated at 7-0 in the conference and 8-0 overall.

Jake Pisula’s 25-yard touchdown run kept the Scotties in the game, trailing 19-7 at the half.

Malik Wells’ third touchdown of the game gave the Prexies a 27-7 after three quarters. Washington closed out the game on touchdowns from Dequay Isbell and Nate Swart.
