Ice Miners top Johnstown, even record
The Keystone Ice Miners got goals from five different players in defeating host Johnstown, 5-4, in a NAHL game on Saturday night.
The victory evens Keystone’s record at 7-7.
Vito Aluia broke a 3-3 tie with an unassisted goal at 7:21 of the third perio and Noah Batis made it 5-3 at 12:36.
The Tomahawk’s got within one on a power-play goal by Andrew Romano with one second left.
Josh Bowes scored at 4:16 of the opening period to put Johnstown up 1-0 before the Ice Miners countered with a goal by Michael Maiden, assisted by Nick Le Sage and Lucas Little, at 11:46.
Little put Keystone in front with a goal assisted by Le Sage, who was the game’s No. 1 star, to make it 2-1 after one.
The Ice Miners went up 3-1 on Jon Hall’s goal from Taylor Fernandez at 9:26 of the seocnd, but Johnstown tied it on goals by Casey Linkenheld and Cam Bleck later in the period.
The Tomahawks out-shot Keystone, 31-20, but Nick Kossoff made 27 saves to earn the win.
