Colonials’ rally comes up short in 39-20 loss to Warriors
Albert Gallatin rallied with two touchdowns in the second quarter, but Elizabeth-Forward scored 18 points in the second half Friday for a 39-20 Big Nine Conference home victory.
The Warriors had rushing touchdowns from Josh Kreutzer (31 yards) and John Devine (10), and a 1-yard dive from Jake Meyers in the second quarter before Albert Gallatin (0-2, 0-2) cracked the scoreboard on Hunter Moody’s 8-yard scoring run and Dante Jamison’s 3-yard run.
Devine’s 20-yard run was the lone score of the third quarter.
Meyers scored twice in the fourth quarter on a 9-yard run and a 52-yard interception return. Desean McKoy scored for the Colonials on a 1-yard run.
Jamison gained 117 yards rushing on 15 carries. Moody threw for 191 yards. Dominic Doyle caught three passes for 62 yards and Sam Haines grabbed three passes for 49 yards.
