Trinity slips past Fillies, 3-2

Laurel Highlands rallied to to its Section 2-AAA match Tuesday night, but Trinity held on to win the fifth set for a 3-2 win over the visiting Fillies.

The Hillers won the first two sets, 25-22, 25-20, but the Fillies (1-2) rallied back to force a fifth set by taking the next two sets, 25-21, 25-23.

Trinity won the deciding set, 15-12.

Hannah Basinger had a nice all-around performance for the Fillies with 12 kills, six digs and three aces. Maddi Rice led the defense with 12 digs. Katelyn Kerns controlled the offense with 31 assists.
