Mustangs gallop past Uniontown, 9-3
Ryan Gesso scored the match’s first five goals Saturday, leading Laurel Highlands to a 9-3 Section 2-AA victory at Uniontown.
Gesso scored nearly from the opening kick, netting his first goal at 39:39. He then added goals at 34:34, 31:46, 28:12, and 26:12 to give the Mustangs a 5-0 lead.
Colby Tarr scored a pair of goals in the first half and Timmy Lucas added another goal.
Russell Blaho scored the Mustangs’ lone goal in the second half.
The Red Raiders had just three shots on Laurel Highlands goalie Alex Mears. All three were taken by Josiah Davis and all three went in the net.
Uniontown’s Ethan Glisan turned aside nine shots.
