Trojans clinch second place with win over B-C

California clinched a Section 8-AA playoff berth Thursday afternoon with a 217-246 home victory at Cedarbrook Golf Course over visiting Beth-Center.

The Trojans improve to 11-2 in the section and 13-2 overall. Beth-Center goes to 4-8 in the section.

The Bulldogs’ Tyler Kuntz, who qualified for the PIAA Western Regional Wednesday, and the Trojans’ Jacob Canon shared medalist honors at 6-over 41.

Ryan Beyer (45), Will Skariot (51), Tim Terhorst (52), and Tyler Ross (57) counted in the final score for Beth-Center.

Nathaniel Luketich (42), Josh Peters (43), Matt Amber (43), and Michael Amber (48) rounded out the scoring for California.
