Falcons sweep Beth-Center on the track
The Brownsville girls moved closer to an undefeated Section 6-AA season Tuesday with a 96½-44½ win over Beth-Center at Charleroi.
The Brownsville boys made it a sweep with a 79-58 victory over the Bulldogs.
Jenna Shumar (100 high hurdles, 17.34; 300 intermediate hurdles, 50.91), Sara Vance (1,600, 6:10; 3,200, 13:24), Mackenzie Swords (400, 1:11), Maris Seto (200, 27.84; long jump, 16-9½; triple jump, 34-5; high jump, 4-10), and Justine Brown (javelin, 83-10) all finished first for the Lady Falcons.
Brownsville also swept all three relays.
Corey Lockhart (110 high hurdles, 18.80; 300 intermediate hurdles, 49.54), Byron Mayers (100, 11.44; 400, 56.48; 200, 24.02), Josh Zahuranic (1,600, 5:54), Keyshawn Gregory (javelin, 128-0; high jump, 5-2), and Casey Eperjesi (long jump, 17-9; triple jump, 34-2) finished first for the Falcons.
Brownsville also won the 3,200 and 1,600 relays.
