Pioneers open with 69-43 win over Bearcats
West Greene scored 40 points in the first on its way to a 69-43 non-section win Friday against visiting Bentworth.
The Pioneers (1-0) led 19-8 after the first quarter, 40-15 at halftime and 53-29 after three quarters.
Kolton Rush led West Greene with 22 points. Craig Weaver finished with 16 points. Nathan Brudnock added 15 and Zach McHenry had 10.
Steven Harner led the Bearcats with a game-high 24 points, including five 3-pointers.
