Frazier and South Allegheny battled back and forth throughout the non-section game Monday night, but the Commodores prevailed with a hard-fought 50-44 home victory.

Frazier (1-0) led 12-11 after the first quarter and 23-22 at halftime. The Commodores gained a little cushion with a 10-7 advantage in the third quarter, and put the game away with a 17-15 fourth quarter.

The Commodores’ Caleb Cox led all scorers with 19 points. Joshua Cox added 15.

Tywaun Iggles led the Gladiators with 17 points. Jake Duvall finished with 16.
