By The 1 min read

West Greene jumped out to an 11-point lead in the first period and made that margin stand up in a 59-48 non-section boys basketball win over visiting Hundred on Wednesday.

Craig Weaver and Nathan Brudnock paced the Pioneers with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Zach McHenry chipped in with 10.

Kolton Rush, who was injured in the Pioneers’ game against Waynesburg Central on Tuesday, was diagnosed with a concussion and will be out of action for an undetermined amount of time, according to West Greene coach Jim Romanus.

“I was proud of the way the kids stepped up and played tonight in Kolton’s absence,” Romanus said.

Danny Stewart led Hundred with 26 points and Andrew King had 14.
