Lady Lions hold on for 48-42 win over Southmoreland
The Southmoreland girls had the better of the play in the first and third quarters Monday night, but Greensburg Salem did just a little better in the other two quarters for a 48-42 Section 4-AAA home victory.
The Lady Scots (0-2, 2-3) and the Lady Lions played to a 23-23 tie in the odd quarters, while the home team held a 25-19 advantage in the even quarters for the eventual scoring difference.
Olivia Porter scored a game-high 18 points for Southmoreland. Addy Nicholson added 10.
Megan Kallock finished with 14 for Greensburg Salem. Nikki Mellinger had 11.
