Late rally not enough as AG falls at Norwin

Albert Gallatin’s late rally fell short at Norwin as the Knights claimed a 59-51 win in their Section 1-AAAA boys basketball game on Tuesday night.

Norwin led 29-23 at halftime before surging to a 50-32 lead after three frames. The Colonials (3-2, 0-1) out-scored the Knights (3-3, 2-0) 20-9 in the final period but it wasn’t enough.

Tavian Mozie scored a game-high 21 points to go along with five rebounds and six assists for AG. Tanner Kutek added 17 points. David Knox was held to two point but contributed 12 boards and eight assists.

Gage McCracken led Norwin with 18 points and Anthony Dellefemine chipped in with 12.
