University breezes past Red Raiders, 67-45
The Uniontown boys fell behind in the first quarter and University (W.Va.) High made the advantage stand Wednesday night for a 67-45 victory in the final night of the Laurel Highlands Christmas Clash.
University led 18-9 after the first quarter and 39-20 at halftime. The Red Raiders (4-4) chipped a little off the deficit with a 16-12 advantage in the third quarter, but University finished off the win with a 15-9 fourth quarter.
Phillip Mosely led Uniontown with a game-high 17 points. Malaky Howard added 10.
Geoff Hamperain scored 14 points for University. Holton Summers (12) and Ethan Ridgeway (10) were also in double figures.
