Indiana sweeps boy-girl doubleheader for Scotties
The Southmoreland boys were tied with Section 3-AAA-leading Indiana after the first quarter Wednesday night, but the visitors had too much offense for a 68-46 road victory.
Indiana improves to 13-0 in the section and 18-2 overall, while the Scotties are now 9-4 in the section and 16-5.
Blake Shields and Dylan Stapleton shared scoring honors for Indiana with 19 points apiece. Jacob Zilinskas scored 14 and Riley Stapleton added 13.
Doug Leighty led the Scotties with 16 points.
The Indiana girls started the evening with a 59-39 victory over the Lady Scots.
Indiana (13-0, 19-1) led 25-4, 48-10 and 50-22 at the quarter breaks.
Olivia Porter led Southmoreland (3-10, 7-13) with 12 points. Julea Claycomb added 10.
Jessica Stever scored a game-high 16 points for Indiana. Abby Karcher finished with 11.
