2 min read

Louden Conte led off with a home run, and Mitch’s Bail Bonds added two more runs in the first inning en route to a 7-1 victory over New York Pizza in Tuesday’s Fayette County Baseball League action at Charleroi’s Veterans Memorial Field.

Tyler Delbal held the NY Pizza hitters to one earned run on five hits in six innings. He struck out nine and didn’t walk a batter. Delbal also contributed with the bat, as he knocked in two runs and had two singles.

After Conte’s solo blast, MBB scored two runs with bases-loaded walks. Eric Holt chipped in with two singles.

NY Pizza (6-5) cut the deficit to 3-1 in the top of the second, but Mitch’s came back with three more runs in the bottom of the inning for a 6-1 advantage. The home team added another run in the sixth before rain halted the action.

Ken Musko suffered the loss for NY Pizza. He allowed seven runs (five earned) on eight hits in six innings. He had three strike outs and walked 10.

Mitch’s improves to a league-best 12-2.
