Raiders breeze to 13-3 win against West Greene

By The 1 min read

Waynesburg Central plated seven runs in its first at-bat and cruised from there Monday afternoon for a 13-3 non-section victory against visiting West Greene.

West Greene led 2-0 heading into the bottom of the first, but Hunter Robinson’s bases-loaded triple broke open the game in the bottom of the inning.

The Raiders scored a single run in the bottom of the third inning and the Pioneers scored their final run in the top of the sixth.

Waynesburg Central (1-0) invoked the 10-run mercy rule with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Joel Rohanna walked two and struck out two for the win.

John Glenn Davis, his first action since a knee injury suffered in football season, went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

The Raiders host Brownsville Thursday in the Section 2-AA opener.
