Ben benefits Bell, Brown
Let’s talk quarterbacks.
Ben Roethlisberger will return to the starting lineup today when the Steelers host the unbeaten Cincinnati Bengals.
Roethlisberger will command top dollar in most DFS leagues, but I think his return will have more of an effect on RB Le’Veon Bell and WR Antonio Brown. The threat of a passing attack will open up the game for Bell, and no one missed Roethlisberger more than Brown.
On the flip side of the ball, Cincinnati’s Andy Dalton is having a career year and he’s going up against a Steelers defense which gives up lots of yardage.
Pairing tight end Tyler Eifert with Dalton should be a winning combination.
Elsewhere:
n Minnesota quarterback Teddy Bridgewater can be had for mid- to low-end salary this week, but with the emergence of WR Stefon Diggs, Bridgewater can be a solid play. Without Diggs in the lineup, Bridgewater averaged just about 170 yards passing per game. With Diggs in the lineup, Bridgewater is averaging close to 280 yards per game.
n Seattle’s defense is definitely worth a look today against the Cowboys, even with Dez Bryant in the lineup.
n He’ll command high-end salary, but Rams RB Todd Gurley will be worth it this week against the 49ers.
n Cleveland RB Duke Johnson won’t cost much and he’s been seeing a lot of balls thrown his way.
n I’ve been a week off on a lot of players so far this season. That’s why I’m tabbing Jets WR Eric Decker again this week.
n Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch has been inconsistent this season, but against Dallas’ defense, I’d shell out the salary and start him.
n Question: What happened to 49ers TE Vernon Davis?
n Back to the Bengals-Steelers matchup: The Steelers might be able to slow down A.J. Green. At low-end salary, WR Marvin Jones might be worth the risk. Jones has been targeted a lot the past two weeks.
