LH girls defeat Lady Colonials, 3-1

Laurel Highlands won the first, second and fourth sets Thursday night to close the girls volleyball season with a 3-1 Section 2-AAA victory at Albert Gallatin.

Laurel Highlands (4-8, 5-8) won the first set, 25-20, second, 25-16, and fourth, 25-21. The Lady Colonials (0-12, 1-16) won the third set, 25-23.

Baylee Powell had a strong defensive game for Albert Gallatin with 17 digs. Payton Hlatky also had a strong game with 16 digs. Machaela Hall dished out 10 assists to go with seven digs. Haylee Crum finished with nine kills and eight digs.

Mackenzie Wheeler led Laurel Highlands with 18 assists and eight kills. Terry Tale had a nice all-around performance with 14 kills, 11 digs and seven blocks. Allison Hartsek finished with seven kills and four blocks.
