Jaguars top Red Raiders in baseball

Thomas Jefferson scored eight runs in the top of the first inning and coasted to a 13-1 win over Uniontown Friday in Section 4-AAA baseball action at Mulholland Field at Hutchinson Park.

John Stover gave up only three hits for the five-inning pitching win, while Aaron Skinner took the loss for Uniontown (4-7, 3-3). Christian Forsythe had two of Uniontown’s hits.

The Jaguars (4-7, 2-3) banged 13 hits, including two each from David Mack, Kolton Karwowski, Garrett Fairman and Bobby Kelley, who doubled.

Uniontown hosts Laurel Highlands on Monday.
