Parshall fans 14 in BVA win

Bailey Parshall struck out 14 in a 7-0 Belle Vernon shutout win over Waynesburg Central in non-section softball action Friday.

Parshall allowed only two hits and did not walk a batter, as she got the win over Waynesburg Central’s Brooke Meek.

Alyssa Larson drove in one run with a pair of doubles, while Kourtney Gavatorta brought home two runs with a single. Megan Christner also doubled for BVA (8-4).

Tara Staley singled and doubled for Waynesburg Central (3-6).

Belle Vernon hosts Yough Monday.
