Cal track sweeps meet from Charleroi
The California girls and boys have momentum heading into today’s important Section 6-AA triangular after they swept past visiting Charleroi Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Trojans won, 87-53, while the California boys secured a 77-64 win.
California hosts Brownsville and Bentworth this afternoon.
Destiny Gudel (1,600, 6:47; 800, 2:53), Ashley McIntosh (300 intermediate hurdles, 50.99; triple jump, 33-5), Alexis Kronander (3,200), Marissa Bitonti (shot put, 29-3; javelin, 116-10), Annalise Gillispie (high jump, 4-10), 3,200 relay, and 1,600 relay all finished first for the Lady Trojans.
Jessica Day had a couple of first-place finishes in the 100 (13.26) and 400 (1:02.48). Elizabeth LaCarte won the discus 84-4½.
Charles Roberts (1,600, 5:00; 3,200, 10:14), Canyon Renner (400, 57.41), James Campbell (300 intermediate hurdles, 45.53), Clayton Oveson (800, 2:15), Jordan Rossell (discus, 110-2), Kass Taylor (high jump, 5-10; triple jump, 40-10), 3,200 relay and 400 relay had first-place finishes for the Trojans.
Kyle Brockman won the 100 (12.16) and 200 (25.49) for the Cougars.
