Blaze Tran threw a one-hitter as Jeannette shut out host Monessen, 8-0, in a Section 2-A baseball game on Wednesday.
Tran walked one and struck out six.
Swade Redman, Brendt Billeck and Tyler Elliott each doubled for the Jayhawks (5-4, 4-2).
Cory Fleming took the loss for the Greyhounds (3-8, 3-5).
