Lady Bucs defeat Mapletown, 10-0

Kayla Alderson homered in Chartiers-Houston’s 10-0 win at Mapletown in a six-inning Section 1-A softball game on Wednesday.

Winning pitcher Kaitlyn Dittrich tossed a three-hit shutout with two strikeouts and no walks for the Lady Bucs (7-5, 4-2).

Losing pitcher Abby McIntire allowed six hits and no walks with three strikeouts.

Taylor Vanata had two hits for the Lady Maples (3-7, 2-3), who also got an outstanding leaping defensive play from first baseman Michaela Perry.

Mapletown is at West Greene today for a 4 p.m. game.
